As the years have flown by all I can say (and I’m sure this is true for many), is that the Lord has grown more precious. Both Chris and I are looking forward with ever increasing anticipation to the day when we will see Him face to face. The fight of faith has often been hard but it is still a good fight because it is sustained by the power of God’s grace and fought for His glory. Praise God that no one can snatch us out of His hand!
I recently had the privilege of teaching through the book of Revelation at our church and was overwhelmed with the beauty, majesty, and glory of the soon coming Lord Jesus. In Revelation 22 the last two things Jesus proclaims about Himself are found in verses 13 and 16. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” And “I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” This is why our inheritance is secure and why in His beautiful face we will behold more of the glory of God forever.
My favorite text in Scripture is Colossians 1:15-17 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-- all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” I have been learning over the years that everything from the most earth shattering events to the smallest details of my life is all about Him.
I just wanted you to know that God is still faithfully hanging on to Chris and I and has blessed us in innumerable ways we truly don’t deserve.
